I have posted recently in Sports Book Review and believe I have a decent following. When College Basketball was working last year, I accumulated 33K views in less than 2 months.

I also have a YouTube Channel that is name MacktheTeachSportsAnalysis.

Great Question. There are 6 types of bets in my system. The Over bet which means you believe both teams combined will score more than the Vegas total.  The Under bet which means you believe that both teams combined will score less than the Vegas total. Away - the points which means you believe that the Away team will win by more than the spread. Home - the points which means you believe that the Home team will win by more than the spread. Away + the points which means the Away team will stay close enough to the Home team to cover the spread. Home + the points which means the Home team will stay close enough to the Away team to cover the spread.

These are the six bets in my system. However, I have added a weighted element at the request of my recent followers. If it is considered an Away - 3* that means you should only be 3% of your bankroll on the game. If it is considered an Away - 5* you should consider betting 5% of your bankroll on the game.

That is how you should interpret the published bets.

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE

I have a proprietary method to account for this attribute. It is obviously important so I take it into account but can't go into too many details.

Over Time

My model is designed to predict the score of a game in regulation time. If the game goes into overtime all bets are off. If you win great, if you lose that's gambling. I record wins and losses based on the regulation score. This is hard for some individuals to understand. For instance, if I bet Under 45 and the score gets tied 21 to 21 and goes into overtime and ends up 21 to 28, I still count that as a win. My model predicted the under which occurred in regulation time. The opposite is also true. If I had bet the over 45 and it is tied 21 to 21, regardless what happens in Over Time, it is considered a loss.

PROJECTED SCORE

The projected scores are only the first line of defense. My model is unique in the fact that it predicts teams scores with an actual number. However, my algorithms behind the scenes find where my model has been weak and where it has been strong and values games beyond the projected scores. There are additional parameters that come into play when picking games. Again, I think this is one of the major pluses to my model. I have a filtering system beyond just the numbers based on past results.

What if the Teams Change Coaches or Players Year to Year?

What if the Teams Change Coaches or Players Year to Year?

YEAR to YEAR

This is a common misconception on my model. I don't care what happens year to year. I begin building statistics Week 1 with the new team. My system doesn't view the team as Alabama, it views the team solely based on the numbers it has produced. My data is pure and is the same data Vegas is looking at when making the lines. If they have a completely new coaching staff and player staff, they will produce different statistics than the previous year. This is why I begin betting Week 4 and not Week 1. I need time to collect current teams data.

WEATHER:

There are two significant weather events that change a game. Wind and Rain. If my system bets the over on any game and it is raining or over 20 MPH winds I toss the game out. Believe it or not, I don't toss out snow games unless it is a blizzard.

NFL

I can't account for any injuries. I think Vegas does an ample job adjusting the spread. Back up QBs are dangerous in the NFL. They are fighting to stay in the league and put food on the table.

NCAAF

This is the one system I account for Injuries. If the QB is knocked out, I toss out the future games until ample statistics have been gathered. College QB backups aren't the same quality as NFL backups.
